We used different coloured multilink to map out the 2, 4 and 8 times table. We spotted patterns and discussed them.
We then used our multiplication maps to work which numbers are in the 2, 4 and 8 times table.
We learned facts such as the number 6 is in the 2 times table but not the 4 or 8 times table.
32 is in the 2, 4 and 8 times table.
We worked out which multiplications we could use to make a given product. For example, you can make 16 by 1x16, 16x1, 2x8, 4x4 or 8x2.
