We had a great day on Friday 24th June celebrating our love of reading. Classes were challenged to ensure that at least one person was reading in class throughout the day and they all did a great job! You can see the photos below of children reading in class, at playtime and even whilst they were eating their dinner! Teachers shared their favourite childhood books with their classes and Mr Percival wrapped up a mystery book for each class to discover during the day. Thank you to all the parents who supported this event by sending their child in with a favourite book from home or sent money in for their child to buy books from the book sale.

Although we are closed on Thursday 23rd June for the European Referendum we will back open on Friday for an exciting event celebrating reading and books. Children can wear non-uniform for the day and are encouraged to bring in a favourite book from home to talk about. There will also be a book sale in the morning where children can buy brand new books from as little as £2. We look forward to seeing everyone back in school on Friday!
