On Thursday our brilliant Year 6's went on their last ever primary school trip. As a reward for all their hard work and positive attitude over the year they went to watch Despicable Me 3 at the cinema and had lunch at Frankie and Benny's. As always they were a credit to the school and everyone had a great time.

Our Year 6 children entertained their parents this afternoon with a fantastic end of year show - Aladdin Trouble.  The children did us proud with their brilliant acting and singing. Special mention must go to Amir, Kaci, Hina and Huda for taking the leading roles and delivering great performances and amazing singing.  

Each week in assembly the teachers choose classes or individuals who have gone 'above and beyond' during the week to be the best that they can be and to symbolise this we put gems in the gem jar.  When this fills up we have a whole school reward. The children managed to fill the gem jar just in the nick of time before the end of the Summer Term and so we asked our local ice cream man to come and give out ice creams and lollies to everyone.  The weather was fantastic and the event was a great success as you can imagine. We were treated to a wonderful performance from our Year 5 and 6 clarinet and flute players this morning.  They have worked with Miss Dunning, our instrument teacher, since being in Year 4 to become fantastic musicians.  We were pleased to see so many parents in attendance to watch the performance. Well done to the children involved...

Our annual Summer fair was a great success today with lots of parents and children turning out despite the odd spot of rain.  Our parent group have worked hard to help organise the event and make it such a success. We are pleased to announce that we managed to raise over £800! Congratulations to Talhah and Maryam for winning the huge chocolate cakes in the raffle!
Last week we had our Achieve It week where each class worked together to create a stall for the fair and make the products to sell and prepare advertising materials to promote it.
