Some of our Year 6 children were a fantastic help to the local Salvation Army helping to wrap presents for children. As usual, our children did us proud and were great ambassadors for the school.

Our Early Years children did us proud today with their brilliant Christmas show. The children from Day Care, Nursery and Reception had excellent singing and speaking voices and clearly showed all the hard work they have put in to make the show a success. Well done to all the children, parents and staff who helped to put on the show.
This year's Christmas Show for our classes in Year 1 and 2 was called "Little Angel Gets His Wings'. We had a great turnout from parents and the show was a real success. Well done to all the children who have worked hard to learn their lines and the words from all the songs. Finally, a big thank you to our parents who always support us so well at these events!
We recently asked children to tell us about how they feel about their personal development, welfare and safety at Stanley Road. Children from right across the age ranges reported very positively about their experiences at Stanley Road.
Here are some of the headline findings...
Children went on to say... "Outside the children play fairly. If anything happens there is someone we can go to." "If there is any bullying the teachers sort it out quickly" "The children have good manners" (24 children from Y1 to Y6 were surveyed in December 2015) Year 6 had a fantastic day at Eden Camp in Malton, North Yorkshire finding out more about their topic - World War 2. The children investigated the different huts set up with different scenes from World War 2. The children were a real credit to the school throughout the day!
