Day two of our Dream It week has been a great success! We have had a range of great guests visiting school to talk about their jobs and develop the children's aspirations for the future. This morning PC Haroon Akram arrived in his riot van to talk to children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 about his role. The children really enjoyed chatting to PC Haroon, sitting in the van and using the riot shields. He emphasised that the police role is all about helping people and supporting communities. Whilst KS1 were exploring the police van Year 6 were finding out about what it takes to run a construction company from Joanne James who is one of the directors of 'PLP Construction Limited' based in the local area. She explained what her role was and all the different trades required when constructing a building. The children learned a lot about the construction industry and asked some great questions. Finally we had a great visit from the Adrian Buckley from the local Fire Service to chat to the children about his job and he kindly brought his uniform in for the children to try on. The children really enjoyed finding out about the role of a fireman and asked some brilliant questions. Here are some pictures from PC Haroon, Adrian and Joanne's visit.
