Thank you to everyone who entered the Easter Egg Competition. We were overwhelmed by your response to the competition. All of the entries were brilliant! The winners chosen were the most creative and original entries from each key stage. EYFS WINNER: Keyaan FSLH KS1 WINNER: KHALEEL 2JD LKS2 WINNER: ASHA 4SS UKS2 WINNER: KHADIZA 6AH
There will be a coffee morning and book sale on Thursday 18th May from 8:50am.
We will need some help to set up stalls and sell refreshments. If you would like to help, please come along to a brief meeting to organise this on Thursday 4th May at 8:50am in the conference room. Don't forget that on Friday 31st March we are hosting a 'Bunny Hop!' to raise money for Dr Kershaw's Hospice in Oldham. Bunny ears are on sale for £2.00 from Miss McGladdery and Miss Bott. The Bunny Hop is not a religious event but a charity fundraising event for the hospice, which cares for terminally ill people in Oldham. All donations to this worthwhile charity are gratefully received.
The parent group have been raising money to pay for improvements to the school playground. We have been holding events such as coffee mornings, book sales and toy sales. At our Winter coffee morning and book sale we raised over £300! Our Junior Leadership Team (school council) have worked with the children in their classes to choose designs they would like painted on the playground. Some of the chosen designs are... Next we want to buy the children some equipment such as chess pieces, ball games and skipping ropes. Please come along to our next meeting on Thursday April 20th, to find out how you can help us!
The next meeting of our parent group will be on Friday 26th February at 8.50.
Come and share your thoughts and ideas about what the school is doing well and how we can work together to make further improvements. We hope to see you there. Thank you to everyone who supported our coffee morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. It was fantastic to see so many of you there and we raised an amazing £180. All of this money will go to provide medical, financial and practical support to people with cancer. A special thank you to Janet and her family for providing nearly of the cakes that were sold this morning - we couldn't have done it without you.
Our first meeting of the Parent Forum this year will be on
FRIDAY 9th OCTOBER at 8.50. Come and share your views about what is working well in our school and help us to think of ways to improve it even more. Thank you to all the families who came to our coffee and read on Tuesday. The children enjoyed sharing their books with you - almost as much as they enjoyed eating all the biscuits!
Come and join us for a drink and a cake while raising money to support people who are affected by cancer. FRIDAY 2ND OCTOBER 8.50 in the infant hall. There will be a cake sale outside at the end of the day to sell any cakes that are left over.
