Please read the information below named 'Remote Learning Info for Parents' to learn more about the remote learning provision for pupils who are self-isolating. CORONAVIRUS : IMPORTANT INFORMATION
If your child is self isolating, they must stay in the house and you must not bring these children to school to drop off or pick up siblings in other year groups. New legal guidance now states that breaking self-isolation rules could result in a £1000 fine. It is also a criminal offence to send a child to school who has had a test but has not received the results. HOME LEARNING Children in Nursery, Reception and Year 1 will use the home learning journals lower down on this page. Children in Year 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be using our new online system called Google Classroom. Please see the letters below regarding home learning. There are two different letters depending on the year group your child is in. Please be aware that this work is for children who are not in school. If you are having difficulties accessing Google Classroom please watch this video which may help - Guide to Google Classroom IMPORTANT - Please remember to sign in with your child's school email address which ends with @stanleyrd.uk otherwise they will not be able to access their home learning. SELF ISOLATION If you are self-isolating due to a suspected or confirmed case of coronavirus in your household please read the guidance here. FREE SCHOOL MEALS UPDATE Please read the Free School Meals Update document below for further information about claiming Free School Meals.
Remote LearningThis year we will continue to use the Home Learning Journals for parents in Nursery, Reception and Year 1 to access the home learning for their children. Older pupils in Year 2 upwards will be using Google Classroom. Please can you make sure that children complete their home learning every day if they are not in school but are still fit and well. Please note that this home learning is only for children who are off school - those who have attended school do not need to complete the work.
If you have any difficulties accessing the home learning journals it may because you are logged into a Google account that restricts access (e.g. a school account) if this is the case please log out of the account and try again or open a 'private' or 'incognito' window in your browser. If you would like any additional work for your child please access the excellent home learning available on the National Oak Academy website which includes video lessons for all year groups from Reception to Year 6 - https://www.thenational.academy Please click the link below if your child has special educational needs as there may be additional work available for them on the SEND home learning journal.

Stanley Road in the top 5% of schools for the fourth year running! We are delighted to announce that we are in the top 5% of schools in the country for making great progress in maths (for the fourth year running!) This is a great achievement and shows the results of the hard work put in by the children, parents and staff.
Parent Opinions of Stanley Road"Fantastic work from all staff to ensure all children are happy and secure at school, interested in their learning and making fab progress. The safeguarding at this school is fab, children feel they are safe and can approach staff to discuss anything and that staff will listen to them. I couldn't be more pleased with the school's work."
“The teachers are amazing. I would recommend every parent to choose this school for their kids.” “My children are always ‘buzzing’ with their learning.” "The school has exceptionally high standards and treats all children and parents with respect. All children's needs are met to the highest standards. The school has a warm welcoming nature where staff are working really hard to do their best, always challenging children to be the best they can be. I really couldn't fault the school in anything!" "I have always been happy with the ethos and atmosphere at Stanley Road, but Mrs Howarth and the staff have really pushed the school onto the next level."
